I rediscovered my platform trainers lately and always turn to them when I want to dress super casual and comfy, especially on days where there are a million and one errands to run (literally, I find myself running).
I have no idea where these platforms are from, but I’m sure they are sold in most shoe shops.

The Hijab is the “Subtle Petals” Thin Scarf – one of theeee prettiest scarves I own! I haven’t done a tutorial for this hijab style, but it’s pretty much like my “Asymmetrical Hijab Style” with a Square scarf. Tutorial coming soon!
My jeans are straight leg ones from Primark. I have a couple of these as they wear out quite quickly (I don’t mind – can’t expect much from those kinds of prices!) so I went to buy some backups the other day and couldn’t find any! If anybody knows of any store or brand that make straight leg jeans, do let me know – I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

So as I was running around sorting things out, I realised something and wanted to share it with you. Part of the errands involved Pearl Daisy preparations; the store will be opening in a few days, i’A, and a lot of hard work has gone into it from our small team. As I was giving the one-over to the paint colours and admiring the pearl hangers (YES!), it hit me how this journey has brought me to a place I’d never expected. And it’s all thanks to God, for placing such amazing supporters, viewers – and, well, Daisies – into my life. I cherish every single sister (whether in Islam or in Humankind) who takes the time to lend a part of her day in messaging me, watching or commenting on my videos, commenting, “liking” or sharing my Facebook or Instagram content, tweeting me, purchasing from my store, just doing anything to support Pearl Daisy. I truly am thankful to you all.
In my life, I was always thirsty to expand my horizons and make the most of every moment. I wanted to learn new things, gain knowledge about so much, attain new skills and talents and methods of artistic expression. I recall so many moments where I felt so overwhelmed because I just wanted to do so much, all the time, and during certain moments I would become particularly aware of how our Creator, subhaanahu wa ta’aala has placed so much beauty in the world, filled not only with the miracles of nature but also the wonderful potential we hold as human beings in enriching our lives. Anyhoo, what I’m trying to say is that in all that time, being someone who has a business or makes YouTube videos or online content was never one of the things on my list. I had never imagined I would be able to do it. Not because I had dreadfully low self esteem but because I was never the ‘popular’ or ‘super confident’ girl growing up, and, alhamdullilah, I tear up when I think of all the peace, comfort and love I found when I looked into Islam. Alhamdullilah for everything.
So my question for today is: pinpoint, out of the innumerable blessings in your life, one blessing that was totally unexpected for you. I’m sure we all have many.

I would say the biggest and the most u expected blessing in my life would be my Husband.
He came into my life just like a Knight in shining armour. It was totally unexpected because we never knew each other personally,our marraige was arranged by mutual family friends.He lived here in the USA while I lived in saudi arabia.
We put our faith completly in our parents choice for us infact we saw each other for the first time on our Nikah day which took place in Masjid Al Haram in Mecca Alhamdulliah.
But Mashallah he turned out to be everything I wanted for in a partner and more MashaAllah. I pray that Allah bestow his mercy on our marraige and we be together always in this life and in Jannah Ameen.
i’m blessed to live in a community where people are willing to help each other out. i seriously met a revert who offered me a ride on a snowy night and we both had the same schedule for our college. it felt like allah sent an angel to me in the form of a human. alhamdullilah.

i honestly feel like my greatest blessing, very much unexpected is this baby i am about to have. I am a firm believer in qadr, but like every human being since we dont have a full picture of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala’s plans, there were times in the past few years when i was realky unsure. Alhamdulillah, by his grace my life is as it should be.
Asalam.o.alaikum sister amena.. at every point Allah blesses us with unexpected blessings and now.a.days the greatest blessing for me is that i got into a very nice university pretty unexpectedly and m really thankful to my Allah for that… Alhumdulillah! :)

I would say one of the most unexpected and tear-jerking overwhelming yet positive experiences I have had is when I first met my dad and his family.
I grew up not with my mum and a step-dad for the most part & knew nothing about my real dad and his family. However, many things has happened throughout my life and I went through a lot. After finishing school I fell into a deep depression and was suicidal and hospitalised. I thought I would never get out of hospital, despite acting as though I was well and better. It was a really low point of my life and I knew then that I wouldn’t live to experience my 18th birthday, I just wanted to go, I had had enough of life.
Then, I was unexpectedly contacted by my uncle, my dad’s brother, who helped get me out of hospital. He then arranged after a week for me to go back with him to the country my dad and his family lived in. I thought to myself that this was amazing & that at least before dying, ti would be nice to have met my dad and family, so I can at least die in peace having met them.
Anyway, it was really emotional, and I felt like my heart was hurting but healing, piecing together shattered pieces of a broken and very sad heart. Obviously, I lived to tell the tale and didn’t end my life, because alhamdulillah, Allah had mercy on me and let me see the truth and beauty of Islam. I became a Muslim, and all those stereotypes of oppressed women and men treated as kings etc were dispelled.

My parents and family are really proud on me and this all ties into the blessing of getting accepted into a great college by the will of Allah.

One of my unexpected blessings was known to me when I was five years old and it is the fact of how and why I came into the world. This blessing is the one of Allah to give me life. My parents had another daughter before me who passed away at five and a half years old because she had muscular dystrophy. Although this might seem horrible, my parents were not planning to have more than two children (they already had my older brother). But after she passed away, my brothe rinsisted on him wanting another sibling. That is the reason why my parents decided to have another child. Although I would never wish for someone to meet death at such an age, it is a blessing of Allah as I would have probably never known life and the wonders of His creations. Alhamdulillah, my parents and brother are very dear to me and I must thank them also for the various decisions they had to make.

I think the most unexpected blessing allah (swt) has granted me is the month of Ramadan.
It is a month when I contemplate about all the decisions I have made so far and what decisions to make in the future.
The second would be the life I am living in USA. I look back at my family in pakistan and I thank allah that he gave me this opportunity to shine as a muslim woman in america.
May allah bless us all and show us the straight path. Ameen

When I think about all the blessings Allah SWT, ther’s one that was really but really unexpected, it was in junior high school I use to be very very shy, not talkative at all (and still today but not as much as before) and I was never really “integrated” I would just stay on my own, far from the others ,I don’t know I use to feel really different.One year, I repeated a class and I was like”why is it happening to me?”
and two years later I met a girl, a classmate who took a step towards me and since then she’s my best friend and I really think that Allah SWT heard me and he sent her for me(loool) :)
I’ll always be thankful , Al hamdulilllah.

One blessing that was totally unexpected for me was moving to a new house and getting my own room. Long ago, I used to live in an apartment, with my family of 5 and my 2 brothers. My brothers and I had to share the single and only bedroom that we had when I was younger. And, my parents had to sleep on the sofa and the floor. Everything was so compact and small and the only other rooms we had were the kitchen and bathroom. Considering we lived in the city, the amount of area was not enough. One day, my mother went walking around the neighborhood and saw a house for sale. She had no intention of buying because we didn’t have the money at the time. She paused for a moment but then came back to our apartment. Later, she brought my siblings and I to view to the house for fun. My mother introduced us to the people living there that were going to move shortly. I became friends with the owner’s daughter and she went upstairs to show me her room. I loved it. And as I looked around the house, I found it to be the perfect size. Little did I know that I would be living in this same house. Alhamdulilah with the support of our family, we were able to buy the house. We moved in shortly after. And as I write this story now, I am so thankful to Allah because when I walk around the neighborhood, and look at the same apartment I used to live in, I cannot imagine what life would be like now. Alhamdullilahi Rabb il ‘Aalameen indeed. Thank you for listening to my personal story.
Salam Aleikum sister Amena. the thing i am most grateful for is that Allah brought my husband and therefor Islam into my live 2 years ago. and even if at the time being my hubby (pakistani- who proposed to me in a way i would have loved it to be(my favorite language since i discovered bollywoodland – in hindi/urdu)). since then i moved to vienna, never could imagine living in a big city like that, but Alhumdulilah i love it, i went to greece, and lived there 5 month with my husband ALhumdulilah, we made it through some tough challenges, my mother ( and part wise most of my family) not being very happy about me converting to islam and marrying a pakistani (never dreamd of that myself), my husband being in jail for 3 month even tho he was innocent and simply got tricked by a so called “friend” (with lots of whispers from shaytan i guess), and us being married for 1 and 1/2 year, and only being together for 5 months, Alhumdulilah, thanks to the technology we have today we can send messages and call and (if electricity works in pakistan while my hubby is there and not in greece) see each other on skype, (skype is where we got to know each other, Alhumdulilah). we have been throu a lot of changes the last 2 years, and lots of challenges, but i am truly thankful to our creator for bringing all of that into my life, specially my husband, without him i would probably still be the silent fat girl living in a dream bubble. so ALHUMDULILAH
The biggest blessing in my life that I would have never expected is finding the truth & reverting to Islam. Alhumdulillah I am so grateful it brings tears to my eyes. Knowing what it is like to live life without a purpose & now knowing my purpose is a true blessing. I feel complete<3

However I remember when I first received my acceptance to the university of my choice I remember that feeling of feeling at the top of the world! Alhumdolilah a year into my degree I always feel blessed to be receiving and education that is try worth more than words can do justice.

Asalamu alaikum,
the greatest blessing happened to me, and it was also very unexpected, is Islam, how I came to know Islam. Alhamdulillah that Allah opened my eyes and my heart to this religion. First time I learnt about islam on a History lesson, as it was part of the material, but it was very short and that time I could not have imagined that one day I realize that this is the true religion and it changes my life.
One blessing that was totally unexpected all thanks to Allah was when I was applying for a Library Assistant job a couple of years back. I was really interested in the role and went for many interviews at different libraries where I live. Each time I received a call saying that I was unlucky and didn’t get the job as there were so many applications. When I asked for feedback I was told that my interview went well and was placed in the top 3 candidates but it always went to someone who had some experience or something.
A family friend then recommended another job to me which was in a totally different field. I applied for it and then got asked to come in for an interview. I had my interview and then the next day was rung up and told me that i had got the job. I was shocked as I had gone through so many interviews that I automatically thought I would be unsuccessful with this one too.
Allah works in mysterious ways. I then knew that this was meant to be. I always prayed to Allah and asked him to give what is best for me and this job turned out to be the best for me. :)
Another blessing was when I was born. Doctors told my parents that I had a 50/50 chance of living as I born really early and was premature and so small.
I thank Allah that I am alive and well. I hope that I can continue on the right path and be a better person and muslim inside and out.
Salaam sister the biggest blessing in my life is my parents alhumduillah allah has given me such loving and caring parents who stood by me in all situations and showed me right from wrong and never gave up on me.
The most unexpected blessing for me was how blessed I felt when I started to wear hijab. Since the age of about 6 hijab was an on and of thing thing for me. However at the age of 10 I used to just wear hijab at school but then one weekend I was walking about not in my hijab and I felt I should start wearing it all the time because Allah is everywhere not just watching me at school and I wanted to please Allah. so I became a full time Hijabi and now (a couple of years later) I would not take my hijab of if someone payed me a thousand pounds became since I started wearing it Allah has blessed me with friends that love the fact that I think of different hijab styles everyday and allhamdullilah Allah has blessed me with happiness when I wear my hijab :o)x

An unexpected blessing in my life was my friends. I’ve known my friends since Reception, and it was only a few months ago that I realised just how important they are! The right friends can really make you a better Muslim, my friends are always referencing back to Islam and the Quran. And they also help me make little choices like what hijab goes with my outfits ;P
As’salaamu Alaikum! Growing up, I was always a very timid child, and that continued up until my late teens. I was always scared of facing people and only felt comfortable being around a small group of friends who were very close to me. When I was younger, I had decided that if I were to wear hijab, I would do it after I’m married cos I assumed I’d be mature enough to handle it then. I didn’t like the idea of hijab even though I had planned to wear it eventually because it was obligatory. I didn’t understand any purpose behind it. I had come to know more about it when I was 16 and started admiring hijabis and the dignity with which they walked, and then one day, I just magically had the inspiration to wear it! I just could not wait to wear it. So I went out with my mum that very day and bought my first hijab and put it on. The next day, I had summoned the courage to walk into class with it on [more like sprinted to the back of the class but that's not the point ;D). I think the hijab was definitely one of the top most surprising and unexpected blessings in my life. Not the fact that I wore it [because I had always planned to eventually wear it], but that I had summoned the guts to wear it in high school which was one of my biggest fears, Alhamdulillah!

The biggest blessing for me is that I got accepted into a 7 year program that guarantees me a spot in pharmacy school. Meaning that after 7 years I will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and to get into pharmacy school I won’t have to apply or interview or even take the entrance test. That spot is mine and it is such a blessing alhamdullilah. My career is set what more could I want

When I read your question for today I was soo excited because it is by far the easiest one you’ve asked this month. The truth is we can never fully thank Allah (swt) for all the wonderful things he’s blessed us with. But there is one thing in particular that I try to thank him for every single day of my life. That blessing is my baby sister. Growing up it was the four of us (kids) and my parents. As we got older my parents longed for another child, we even started looking into adoption agencies. They never doubted Allah (swt)’s mercy, but they considered themselves too ‘old’ to try to have another one of their own. ALHAMDULILLAH (and I’m really grateful for this now) the adopting stuff didn’t work out. However, a few years ago we were blessed with a baby girl, who is now by far the best thing my parents, or Allah (swt) could have given me in this world. Not only that, but a year and a half ago my parents also had a little baby boy. Now those two are the life of our house! Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah!
Lesson of the story: Never doubt Allah (swt)’s mercy, and NEVER think you’re too old ;)

The most unexpected blessing was getting a chance to move to another country when I was about 8 years old. =)
I guess there are two main blessings in my life which was totally unexpected. The first one would have to be getting married to a hafiz. Mashallah Allah subhana watala blessed me with an amazing husband who on the plus side is also a hafiz. I think its fantastic that i have someone to support me in becoming a better muslim.
my second blessing would have to be finding lovely hijabi’s on youtube to inspire me to feel confident in my hijab. Im not going to lie, i did go through a faze in my life where i would question my wearing a hijab. I used to wish i didnt have the barrier. But now to be honest i love wearing a hijab. I dont see it as an obsticle anymore. Its wonderful to see so many successful women on facebook because of who they are. X

When you are put in the spot like that and asked what an unexpected blessing of yours is, I find myself thinking so hard. But then I realised an “unexpected blessing” is having the friends I have. Never had I imagined I would meet such humble, lovely, incredible people. We all strive to do well in this dunya but also in the akhirah. We tell each other about the latest dua we have come across or the latest lectures we’ve listened to. All this happened in a year. Before, I didn;t really feel like I belonged anywhere and I had the friends for the sake of having friends. But now I met real companions that I know will also be there on my side.
I say alhamdulilah for finding such sisters and may Allah bless them all.
May Allah keep us all in the straight path.

Wow ! Well where to begin? Everything is a blessing from Allah . From having clean drinking to quench our thirst to being surrounded by loving families. I think (for me anyway) even some negative things can be blessings. For example , a couple of years ago my family and I were on the way to the airport to catch a flight for our holiday. Anyway the traffic was terrible and we though we were going to miss the flight :O Everyone was getting annoyed until my mum reminded us f a story she’d heard from a friend. Basically some guy was going to some important business meeting abroad. He was also in traffic and kept praying that he wouldn’t miss the flight. He did and was really angry…. really angry. So he went home and then heard that the flight he was on had crashed or something an many people were killed / injured.
Things ALWAYS happen for a reason and I’ve learnt never to doubt Allah. He hears us when nobody else does and is with us when we are alone ! :D

I can’t pinpoint any particular blessing as I feel that I have had so many! So many blessings that I know of, and possibly so many that I probably don’t know about!
But to be here, alive for another Ramadan, is a blessing in itself. To be able to reflect and seek forgiveness for the sins that I have commited is truly a magical opportunity.
One important blessing that sticks out in my head, is my trip to Umrah 9 years ago! It was totally unexpected and utterly beautiful. Inshallah, we all get the opportunity to make this journey, it is well and truly life changing.
Oh and sister Amena, i get a lot of my straight leg jeans/trousers from Dorothy Perkins and River Island. Don’t know if they do them anymore, but you can try! There is also a chain of shops all under one roof called OUTFIT, try there too! xx
Also, i went to GAP today, and found lots of straight legs jeans there! Hope this helps xx

The biggest unexpected blessing for me was that Allah answered my several of my dua’s instantly. What I mean by that is last Ramadan I made a dua list–2 pages–about things I really wanted, worldly and non-worldly. I remember reading off my dua list every maghrib prayer last Ramadan in hopes that they would be answered. Now that it has been a year, I recently looked over the dua list and most of my worldly dua’s were answered, and inshallah some of my non-worldly ones were too. It is amazing that throughout the year I didn’t even notice as all of my dua’s were being answered and now looking back it is truly an unexpected blessing to have my dua’s answered so fast. Alhumdullilah!
Also, I really wanted to congratulate you on all of the blessings you received with your business and youtube. I am interested in studying some business and seeing your success without compromising your faith has given me hope that Allah helps anyone who is willing to put forth the effort. Inshallah Pearl Daisy continues to grow and also your youtube account.
My moment could possibly be getting into med school. I had a bumpy ride along that path and towards the end didn’t feel like I could make it there but alhamdulillah, through constant prayer, a surprise call began the future of my career. Thanking Allah every single day xx

I would say that one amazing, and unexpected, blessing in my life is my glasses! In about my second year of high school, my eye sight began to go bad. It became really hard for me to see the board from the back of the room and more and more it was difficult to see things far away. So eventually I went to the eye doctor and learned I needed to get glasses. I remember the day I went to go pick up my new glasses, and as my dad paid for them, I tried the glasses on. Subhanallah! It was the most incredible thing! After seeing nothing but blurry lines and colours for such a long time, to be able to see in such clarity was huge! Since then I have become so aware of all the beauty around me. To be able to see the miracle and beauty of life and the world around me has made me so grateful for everything I have and what is around me. And to think that it all came from something that at first seemed like a trouble! =)

The biggest unexpected blessing from Allah in my life would have to be, Him opening up my heart to see the light of Islam, I was always fearful of Allah but months would pass by and I would realize that I have made Salah, not even once, I still have those times where my Emaan goes up and down but Alhumdulillah I am more aware of the Islamic teachings and I plan to never go back to living like I did before InshAllah.

We got married after an arrange marriage proposal that my parents came about and I had to move to Canada to live with him. It was super hard for me to leave my family and go somewhere so far yet so close :( when I didn’t even go out to say for one night with out my family so it has been an roller coaster of emotions for me to adjust to this new environment and family ,even though there are ups and down in new comer to the family Allhamdullila with Allah’s grace I’m doing well . The only I wish and need to improve in is just like you said I feel the same of me being not the popular kids around high school, and now I still feel my self esteem as gone down because of the fact that i have been trying to find a job for the last year and still can’t kept my self up to something keeps failing and failing again and again :’( I think Allah has something better for me so I live in that hope every day :):)Inshallah!

For me every day is a blessing from Allah SWT but the biggest unexpected blessing would be going for Hajj a year after getting married .My husband and I met each other in Fiji as we are both ‘Fiji Indians”. We got married in 2005 and migrated to New Zealand a month after our marriage. After we migrated to New Zealand, we suddenly decided to go for Hajj.We started saving for our Hajj Trip. We were renting in a one bedroom flat and didnt even have a proper bed as we were still settling down and my husband was working at a supermarket arranging shelves and working hard to pay the rent,etc and also to save money for Hajj.
At that moment some of our relatives were saying that we were rushing into it and that it was not the right time.But we did not change our minds and by the Help and Mercy of Allah SWT we were able to go for our Hajj in 2006.
Allah SWT is great and his blessings are never ending, the following year in 2007,I got pregnant and gave birth to our son in 2008 and my husband also got a good job.mashaallah.
It was truly an unexpected Blessing. I have wonderful cherished memories of Hajj and I thank our creator for that and each new day my life with my family..

Salaam! One of things I am most thankful for is my new found love and desire to seek Islamic knowledge. I was raised a Muslim but often times never questioned or looked into many of the acts I was doing such as salat, fasting, adorning the hijab. As soon as I entered college, I remember thinking, ‘I’m pursuing higher education but not the highest, Islam – I take several hours a day revising and learning worldly concepts but can’t answer a few questions about Islam.’ Fast-forward four years later and here I am, 22 years old and still learning about Islam and finding new things everyday. I am blessed with the ability to see, read, and discover why Islam is perfect and is the only way to live. Indeed Alhamdulilah for everything Allaah has blessed us with. May we continue to stay on the straight path and may Allaah shower us with His love and mercy.

One of my blessings was when a sister gave me the inspiration to wear the hijab.It was a tough decision and i was just entering highschool.It has been three years since I’ve started and now I`m 17. I remember that I wasn’t really confident before i wore it because i kept thinking “What will others think of me?” and none of my friends ( Muslim friends) wore it and i would be among the first ones to wear one. I lived around an area where a lot of people weren’t that religious, they were more into today’s society–judging the way you look (well i guess that’s everywhere). When i did make a decision, I had difficulties because there wasn’t anyone to guide me on how to wear it properly. Some days it would get really loose and i would constantly have to fix it and then one day i stumbled upon your video. I was like wow! I was really astonished how beautiful you could make them look and it helped me alot of how to wear one properly! and I am so grateful because your videos have gave me confidence and helped me get closer to Allah SWT and I am grateful to Allah for everything too!

A blessing that was completely unexpected for me was my realization to wear hijab. My mom always says that guidance is given to those of us who seek it, and there’s always a point in our lives where Allah tests our iman and puts us in a situation where we say yes or no to something. Hijab, for me, was one of those moments. It was a tremendous blessing that I don’t take credit for because it happen so suddenly for me. And I’ve, alhamdulillah, never doubted or regretted that decision. It was a true blessing because it brought me closer to Islam and increased my curiosity towards are beautiful religion, something I did not have before that. It molded me into the person I am today, who still has flaws, but tries to be closer to Allah every single day.

Currently I would say that the biggest blessing in my life is my parents, given they have always been my parents and always will be at this moment in life I appreciate them more than ever. We humans tend to take things for granted and I believe I defiantly have taken my parents love for granted. I got married in November and moved in with my husband this May after finishing school. I am not far away from my parents in another country, and every moment of my life now I realize how much my parents have done for me and that I shall forever be in debt to them. I wish and pray that Allah gives me the strength and ability to be even half the daughter they deserve.

For being granted such a lovingly family, who, despite our small arguments, always support me in anything I wish to achieve in life. Living in a non-Islamic country, I also go to a non-Islamic school – most of my friends are non Muslims. Hence I am thankful for having such open minded friends who appreciate me for who I am and not letting the media play with their minds that Muslims are terrorists and all. (As you can see how terribly Muslims are treated, all because of how the media has portrayed them in public).

If I had to pick one unexpected blessing it would be my little sister Ruqayya. I love her sooo dearly, and she came as a total surprise. Literally! I was 12 years old, and one day my mom told me and my other 2 sisters that she was going to have a baby, we couldn’t believe it and we thought she was just kidding! But sure enough, we had a beautiful litttle sister, mashallah. She is now 4 years old. :)

My biggest blessing in my life was that I marry. Because befor it was that I say `I will never marry`, this change when my husband came into my life. And he change all in my life, hamdoullah.
I had really given up hope on getting my license but last year, my friends, i got my license and i felt so accomplished. I don’t know why I had such a hard time learning how to drive, I would either never practice or my turns would always be messy but I focused, took the test and passed, yay!

One night I had a dream that I was on the Ocean, beach where I found a shell, I opened it and I saw the most beautiful pearl that I have ever seen. It gave me a beautiful feeling, like this pearl is mine noone else has one like it. I didn’t have to wear hijab on that beach either. Few days later I found out that I was pregnant alhamdoolilah :-). First time I took my son in my hands the feeling when I found pearl came back :-). Yes my son is the biggest blessing in my life alhamdoolilah
alhamdullilah..Allah has bestowed me with many blessings.
But Alhamdullilah one of the greatest blessing that I would like to recall now is the arrival of my twin sisters who are younger to me by 6 years. I never thought our family would be so beautiful with 4 girls (I have an elder sis too). When my mom gave birth to the twins I thought it would be terrible, but mashallah it was so fun growing up together loving each other. Today me and my elder sister are settled in different corners of the world. But once we are together it is ecstatic. may Allah subhanu wa tha’lah reunite all of us in his jannathul- firdous.
Wow, what a question….really hard to pick just one…i am so blessed to have three sisters that are all so smart, fun and fiesty. They are my role models.
I am thankful for having a job, i was unemployed for such a long time and i was getting really discouraged and then i got an offer out of nowhere and i have to thank Allah (SWT) so much for giving me that blessing. I am able to go to sleep and know that i have some security financially although i was always safe because ym fate was in Allah’s hands.
LAst year in october it had been 8 years since i had seen my best friend who lives on the other side of the world and i was really missing her. Out of nowhere she called me and said that her husband had been offered a government position in America and that she and her husband were coming to the same exact state in which I live. It blew my mind. This girl has known me since i was 5. We have known each other for decades and we went our separate ways after we got married although we never lost touch and somehow whenever i was sad i would get a call from her or she would be sad and i would feel the need to call her. We have a strange way of knowing that we should be there for one another at specific times and to have her here, living a mere 30 minutes away from me is something I could never imagine actually happening
I have to thank Allah for giving me a good spouse. It’s something I think about every day especially since I have seen a lot of bitter divorces (I am in law) and child custody battles. I am so glad that I found a husband who respects me and cares about my wishes. I honestly wasn’t thinking about marriage when I met him, we just became good friends in college. Later on we realized that we were a perfect match for one another and I have to thank Allah for bringing us together.
I am thankful for my four children that are incredibly honest, loving an responsible. I am glad that they trust me and that I can trust them.
Salams Everyone! Amena, I really adore your outfit. I have a request! How do you store your hijab (s)? I’ve been looking for a way to properly store my hijabs in an organized way. Even hangers from Ikea don’t work.
I think that having this life itself is a blessing. Knowing that Allah gave me the gift of knowledge of Islam and to be able to know and practice the ways of Islam is an honor. Growing up, my family was very huge so having three sisters all of which are now in their mid twenties was with it’s ups and downs. We used to have it sort of well off before I was born. We lived in Dubai and frequently traveled to other countries. Then shortly after I was born in we moved to Canada. Now we were average and living in an apartment was very different from what life was like in Dubai and Pakistan. I wasn’t born but sometimes I wished that I could be brought up like that. I had always wanted to live in a house again but knew that we just couldn’t afford a house right now. My parents always said that if god was willing we would get a house next year insh’allah. I always complained saying that they always just said that and that next year would be four years or never. But then now recently we bought a house with lot’s of dua’s and prayers. When we bought the house, I never really thought it would happen, I didn’t realize how lucky I was, Until now. We just moved in two weeks ago and I write this as I unpack a box. Up to this point I now realize that Allah (swt) is so kind and always helps those in need. If he wills, he will fulfill your wishes and knows what is best. I am now so so thankful for Allah’s blessing and even though i’m only 12 1/2, I think that I understand why sometimes we don’t always get what we want. When we reach the lowest peak in our life, It’s really us who create the illusion that we are alone or in need when really Allah is always there, watching over us and taking care of all of us, Black, White, Muslim, Jew or Christian. This house was my personal wake-up call, I think my faith has gotten stronger and by this house I was able to achieve all this happiness in knowing that Allah really is “The most Beneficent, The Most Merciful.”

that I started niqab at the age of 13 and was blessed to be able to go to an islamic school all my life and learn more about my deen. Now, at 16, I have been blessed to begin becoming an Alima. (islamic women scholar). I feel so blessed alhamdulliah!

I think one of the things I am thankful for is my love for my hijab. One of the biggest unexpected blessing I see in my life today would simply be the fact that I was given the opportunity to go and study what I love, where I wanted to. I was expected to go to the local university and study there, but somehow on the last day of decisions Allah (SWT) seemed to show my parents that the other school was best for me, and I am honestly so thankful to Allah (SWT) and my parents for having given me this opportunity. & sister Amena, your blog and fashion sense is absolutely beautiful! thankyou for inspiring us all to be better muslims and people than we are. :)
Family is definitely one of Allah’s greatest blessings to us. My family has gone to umrah right now and even though I’m insanely happy they got to go and are there, I miss them like crazy.
I am thankful to Allah (swt) for guiding me alhmdulillah while I came closer to my deen while reading Quran with proper taweed and starting to learn with the translations.
I also thank my family for encouraging me to wear the hijab in school and everywhere. During that age I did wear it in some occasions and I wanted to wear the hijab but wasn’t fully comfortable maybeee coz I didn’t fully understand why we wear it and that I may have felt it would be a huge shift and change since I live in Canada. But alhumdulilah I started and now i’m wearing it all the time when i’m out. Without it….. :S Its… just… not.. me… :S.. lol im sure you understand.

The greatest blessing that comes to mind at this moment is actually somewhat of a blessing in disguise.
Back in high school, I was always very good in my academic studies, alhumdulillah. Everyone who know my academic standards would tell me, “Hiba, you can get easily into any University you would want to.” And so I applied to two of the University of Toronto campuses, as well as a very prestigious “Health Sciences” program at McMaster University.
Getting an early acceptance and scholarships from both UofT campuses, and although extremely thankful, I was absolutely heart broken when I got my rejection letter.
Turns out, I’m SO glad I had to “resort” to go to UofT. Not only does it surpass Mac on several categories (I learned later), it was here where I was able to openly accept my religion and culture. Never before was I surrounded by so many Muslims and so many like-minded individuals, and having been to the McMaster campus several times and having friends that go there, I was undoubtedly “blessed” to have not been accepted to their Health Sci. program.

i would have to say one of the most unexpected blessings/things that happened to me occurred when i was on the bus on my way home from university and a sister sat in the seat across the aisle from me. As we were waiting to leave, she whipped open a book and began to read.i asked her what she was reading and she informed me it was a book of supplications for each day of the week…… then she gave it to me insisting that she would get another copy. though this was a few months ago it still stands out as such a random act of kindness from one sister in the deen to another. I’m a 15 year old girl and I know many people my age thing or wearing a hijab as something that is weird and they always ask me how I can wear it. Which is why I think that getting the courage to wear a hijab for me was one of the best blessings that I think I’ve gotten so far. Although I’m sure there will be many more to come.

The most unexpected blessing I receieved was the birth of my little brother :) I always wanted to have someone call me “baji” (big sister) out of respect but I didn’t have a younger sibling and I never thought that I would! It was totally unexpected when my mom told me she was pregnant! At the time, my mom was 45 years old so we knew the risks and complications. Luckily, Allah blessed my parents with a healthy boy and blessed me with a younger brother. I was 12 at the time so my brother and I have a pretty big age difference. It’s just that much more fun. I feel like a kid every day with him.
the most loveable and unexpected blessing from allah out soooo many blessing from him i must say is the love for the hijab which made me become a hijabi and inshalllah is making me a better person.
i have to say that the love for the hijab and my interest which is increasing day by day about Islam is the most beautiful and the most unexpected blessing from Allah and i am loving evey second of this unexpected blessing!
The biggest blessing for me other than my family is a little 10 yr old girl who was wearing the hijab because she knew who she was. At the time I was Jewish and this little girl showed me the true meaning to Islam. It was because of that little girl and her mother that I took the next step in reading the Qur’an and ended up becoming a Muslim.

I have to admit, when I first read the question I couldn’t think of anything. I never thought that my life was anything special or that any aspect of my life was any different from the next girl. To be honest, I never had that turning point in my life that gave me an a-ha moment that made me grateful for everything and anything. For me, it was more of a gradual process. As you mentioned, it was those “innumerable blessings” the small things that make me grateful. As I look back now, all of those little blessings are what really make grateful. As improbable as my life may be, I am living. And even though there are a billion other people living in poverty, I was blessed to have a home and access to food and water. And the one thing I am absolutely the most grateful for is a family, and people that I care for and that care for me. Alhamdullilah for everything. Whether its big or small, good or bad, or even unrecognizable at the moment everything happens by the will of Allah and I am grateful for it all.

Alhamdullillahi Rabbil-aalameen! Allah has blessed me with so many things in life, my life was dark, and he instilled light into my heart!
THE most unexpected blessing in my life was getting married and loving my husband! As a teenager I was always searching for ‘love’ blindly, not knowing what love even is, I was constantly heart-broken. I was always afraid my parents would just propose me to someone, and I would have to accept and just be ‘content,’ I always thought there would be no feeling of love.
I left it in Allahs’ hands, and told myself if Allah wills, He will grant me happiness. And one fine day, I got a proposal from a guy I grew up with, I was unsure of everything, but I did my isthikarah and when we talked it felt like everything ‘clicked’ and it just felt right. I went along with it, got my nikkah, and little by little I discovered so many beautiful things about my other half, how kind-hearted, loving, and caring he is! :) We are inseparable now and I have been married for 1 year, Alhamdulillah!

I would have to say, like many people have mentioned already, that my husband was my biggest blessing. I’m rather impatient, have a bit of a nasty temper, a little moody at times, a little crazy at times and sometimes just plain weird, lol…but my husband is the total opposite. He’s always so patient with me…when I’m sick he’ll sacrifice his sleep to tend to me…he’ll calm me down when I’m upset…he helps me with the laundry, with cooking, with cleaning, with grocery shopping…Alhamdulillah

And you know…I know that I was blessed with this wonderful man because of the duas of my parents….subhanallah I now know the power of a parent’s dua….

The one blessing that I am and will be thankful to Allah (swt) for the rest of my life is that I was blessed to have my Niqah in front of the Holy Ka’ba in Masjid al-Haram in 2008. It was a Friday, just before the Maghrib Aza’n.. Although it was four years ago, I remember distinctly the nikah being read, me staring at the blessed, beautiful black Ka’ba against the blue-purple evening sky. It was exhilarating! Alhamdullilah! :)
We couldn’t have asked for better marriage ceremony. My husband and I are blessed for this and I can’t thank Allah (swt) enough!!

It was the most unlikely situation that brought together 2 people from 2 different worlds – different countries, languages, backgrounds and (at the time) religions. It was also unexpected for our families but Alhamdulillah they embraced it like we could have never hoped for. It’s the biggest and most unexpected blessing in my life and it changed everything for both of us. :)

Salam I think the most unexpected blessing and a really precious time for me was when I was practically yearning the knowledge of my deen. Where my soul was thirsty for the remembrance of Allah, my mind, my heart my soul. It’s a moment in my life that jus has no words to describe. It’s a moment which led me to adorn the hijab ;)
Actually the blessing i didn’t expect was given to me by God. He open my eyes and make me believe and i convert to Islam. Elhamdu le Allah now everything have sense for me.

My unexpected blessing(s) are my two children.wen I was 18 I was diagnosed with a medical condition and the doctors told me that it was unlikely that I would be able to have children. And now @ the age of 31 I am blessed with my gorgeous 3 year old son,and my beautiful 2 week old daughter :)
When my husband asked me to marry him,I had to approach this horrible reality with him b4 I could answer him.he was so understanding about it. He is also an unexpected blessing. I never thought someone could love me as much as he does.

Ulhamdullilah there are many blessing one can be thankful for, but one blessing I am truly thankful for, is the relationship I have with my parents. I know these days a lot of people are either in a bad relationship or just a so-so with their mum or dad. But honestly I can trust them with anything, and I am truly thankful for that.
I’d have to say being able to go back to school and further my goals in life!

My biggest and unexpected blessing was becoming Muslim. I never really thought I would become religious but God guided me and opened my heart at just the right moment. Alhamdulilah. My life has improved so much since.
Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed us with so much that sometimes one forgets the little blessings. One blessing that really touched my heart was once through a conversation with a family friend. He was an old man and was in hospital, and i was speaking to him, and alhamdulillah he had so much faith in Allah about his illness, yet one day he began to cry after the doctor had come to see him. So I tried to comfort him there, saying “uncle, its okay, Allah is with you” as you do, to try keep the faith. The doctor had said to him that through his illness he would not be able to go the toilet to open his bowels like normal. And subhanAllah, he said to me , “I’m not crying about my illness, I’m crying because when I could go to the toilet normally I had never thanked Allah for that blessing, and look at me now” SubhanAllah, that really touched me.
So Alhamdulillah, one of the blessings for me after the realisation that uncle gave me is, alhamdulillah the things we don’t think twice about, using the toilet, not having to think to breathe and control our lungs, not having to pump our heart consciously ourselves-our basic bodily functions, alhamdulillah. :)
My unexpected blessing was that I would become a teacher!
I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I didnt think it would be teaching.
But its definately the only thing I see myself doing

I think an unexpected blessing for me was my love for the Hijab.
Growing up I was never forced to wear the hijab. I used to think that as long as my intentions were clean I didn’t need to wear the hijab. Then a friend of mine showed me a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAVmZmMcVdY
And then it hit me. That Allah has commmanded us to wear hijab and I am not accepting the command. It made me question my eeman. So since then I really want to wear hijab. While im off on summer holidays I am sorting my wardrobe out so that when i go to uni insha’allah my wardrobe is modest and I have hijabs insha’allah.
Every single day I thank Allah for guiding me, for giving me an oppurtunity to love the Hijab.

The words ‘unexpected blessing’ I feel can be understood in different ways. One way is a blessing you never expected to happen and the other way is a blessing that we’ve had and not once have we realized that is a HUGE blessing in our lives- so it is an unecpected blessing for us. I’m going to write my unexpected blessing on the latter, and i hope that is okay with you :). My unexpected blessing is to be born a muslim. It is a very simple blessing indeed but subhan’Allah a beautiful one. We carry out our lives forgetting to thank Allah (swt) for blowing our soul into a muslim family. My life would be turned upside down and much harder if I grew up in another religion. I have learned so much about Islam and become a better muslim due to this – and that is why i consider it my unexpected blessing :)

Anyway, i have a very solid heart,i mean, i’m not someone who gives in easily and most of the time have no pity..’hearltess’ as my mother refers me to. This was few years back,i was the heartless child,and i know it.i usually fight with my mother,stubborn,and will always have something many excuses that were ‘deadly annoying’ is what my mother feels. Hm,everything changed in a second,when i heard one night my mother was praying at 3 in the morning, and she was crying quietly but really hard,and was praying and whispering some things which i could not really hear clearly,but i heard a few words that made me understand, she mentioned my name……’change’….. heartless & annoyed….beautiful heart…. and i’m guessing that was not the first time she prayed,Allah wanted to show me,and that situation really opened my heart,and i felt as if a piece of black cloth covering my heart previously was as if removed!shifted far away,i felt like my heart was lifted and light!..subahanallah,it was so light that it felt like it was near my throat wanting to come out,and tears came rolling down,i ran into my room,and cried,then calmed down with ablution. Ameena,my mother’s prayers was answered instantly,and i witness the greatness of Allah at that instant. I am really blessed to have a mother who is so patient with me!…Now we are doing fine. Ramadhan mubarak to you sister,i hope i will be as kind hearted as you are, continuously!
Reading everyone’s comments is making me so teary eyed hehe. I think my biggest blessing was last year, when i made the best friends possible. i was alone and depressed after my old friends left me because they were too “busy” but then i forced myself to be more outgoing and make new friends and i was rewarded with the best group of girls i could ever imagine, and i thank Allah (SWT) for them every single day :)

Assalamualaikum sis Amena :D I read your post during my break for lecture in school this morning. What a nice way to start off my day – knowing that you really appreciate your fans made me smile :) An unexpected blessing in my life is getting one point lower than i expected for my ‘O’ level exams. This made me eligible to be in a famous course. I have never ever thought that I would end up being in this course because I wasn’t even aiming for it before my exams. I also got into the polytechnic (referred to as college in UK) that I wanted all this while because it is the nearest to my house. It is also the only polytechnic in the East (my area). There were times when I was lazy in secondary school but Alhamdulillah, I managed to push myself to achieve better grades. Only Allah knows how happy I was when i got my results that day :) I have also started to permanently wear the hijab at the end of last year & since the first day when my new school started. In Singapore, a polytechnic is the only institution that allows students to wear anything they want. Students have to wear uniforms in other schools or institutions. I went to typical English schools for my primary and secondary school & Alhamdulillah for my new school (polytechnic) this year, I have started wearing the hijab. I am happy to say that I have adapted to the new changes & there are indeed many blessings in wearing it :) One of them is definitely finding you on YouTube! The way you showed the different styles of wearing the hijab is so effortless & you are such an inspiration. Knowing the fact that I managed to get into this course & that Allah has granted my wish, it motivates me to do better in school & I always pray that He will give me the strength to endure with all the challenges that I will face in this course & that I will graduate in two years’ time Insya Allah!

i feel that my life has always been full of Allah S.W.T.’s blessings but there are two that will always stand out!
we used to live quite comfortably since i was born, had a big house with a front garden, went for vacations outside the country at least once every two years, studied in expensive schools (we were 4 siblings),
my parents never planned it, but we were blessed with a baby sister right when i was 10 years old. We have always loved her dearly but never realized just how vital she was for us all until after she was 8 or 9 years old.
that’s about the time when my dad started facing real problem in his business, we ended up losing our house, our car, our many other assets! we were practically on the street!
one of my dad’s acquaintances lent us his extra flat which was located in a dingy place and had two very small rooms with bathrooms and a small kitchen, that’s all. we were not at all used to living like this, we had to travel by public transport, had to eat the most cheapest things we could get our hands on (there were times when we had to go on boiled pasta only). My brother even had to drop out of his school and continue his studies privately and my sister had to go to a low level public school. During that time, the only happy times there were in our house were created by my baby sister’s funfilled laughters! She always used to bring smiles to our otherwise stressed up faces. We love her like anything! and we thank Allah for sending her in our lives when we most needed her :)
this went on till about 2-3 years during which my dad was even sent to jail for 2 months by his deceitful partners. Our uncles helped him out.
Then one day, my dad’s friend who was working in a nice company in Saudi Arabia, told him that there was on opening in his company which matched my dad’s qualification (my dad is highly educated ALHUMDULILLAH!). My dad applied and masha Allah go himself in. The job was in Sudan, the only problem was that he couldn’t afford to take us with him so he had to leave. He was 54-55 years of age at that time and it broke our hearts that he had to live in Port Sudan (which is a very sparsely populated city).
It did improve our lives a bit, financially, but he was really burdened with loans but that time!
the real change came when he was transferred to Jeddah, i must say that was one of the biggest and life changing blessings of Allah S.W.T. for us. He then called us over for umrah and again for Hajj!
masha Allah we have been truly blessed by Allah S.W.T. since we come here every year now for Umrah!
One blessing that I’ve come to realise now is that I got layed off (became redundant) from the company that I work at. At first I was shocked, sad and didn’t know what to do, but now that I think about it, it’s a good thing. I can be a better wife and mother (inshallah) and also a better muslim, because I will have the time to take care their needs as well as mine. I can finally go back to teaching Islamic School every Saturday. Finally won’t complain about cooking some extravagent meal for my husband. Finally won’t be be complaining about having to get all the housework done on one day. And finally, have the time to learn more about Islam, pray more, recite more – all for me. Being layed off is a great blessing :) Alhumdulillah. There is good in everything He does.
I will list 3…
Blessing #1 – Allah decided to guide me to Islam after many years of searching and feeling like something was missing.
Blessing #2 – Meeting my husband. He is actually the main reason why I started looking into Islam – I wanted to encourage him in his religious beliefs and actions so I did some reading and researching. The end result – see blessing #1!
Blessing #3 – My family’s general acceptance of my conversion to Islam. I was so worried as to how my parents would react. Alhamdullilah, they took it quite well. Of course, we hit little bumps in the road here and there, but they are always minor issues that just need clarification or simple reminders.
Not to mention the daily blessings we have.

The biggest most unexpected blessing I have is Islam itself. Being born a Muslim, I would question really pointless things like having relationships or dressing a certain way or eating different things. But now that I’ve started wearing more modest clothing (including hijab!), watching what I eat and looking into what I questioned, I learned that what I was born with was much more ideal for me than I thought. I’ve said that I’m happy being born a Muslim, but lately, I’ve definitely been feeling and appreciating it more. Alhamdulillah.

I put my life on hold for about 5 yrs to be the primary caregiver to my beloved grandparents. My grandmother was bedridden for about 3yrs before she passed away and my grandfather needed a lot of attention during the last 2 years of his life. Although I loved them both with all my heart, it was a very difficult phase in my life. I had insomnia and was worrying all the time whether they were comfortable and safe. Many times I asked God if He was sure I could do what He seemed to think I can. I am single so I prayed for a husband whose shoulder I could cry on when the going gets tough and to provide me moral support. Two days after grandad died, Allah granted me an opportunity to go for umrah. Turns out my uncle (mahram) was going so I was able to tag along. When I came home from umrah, I re-connected with some of my old friends who were by now married with kids. I learnt that one of them was frquently battered by her husband, some husbands were not suppportive, some husbands took advantage of the fact that their wife works, etc. Astagfirullah. At that point I thank Allah for not granting my request for a husband during the time I was caring for my grandparents. Alhamdulillah,for if I married one of those types of guys on top of having to care for my grandparents, I would probably end up divorced and mad! Haha :D I now firmly believe and have complete faith, insyaAllah, in Allah s.w.t’s timing for everything. Alhamdulillah.

This is an unexpected thing as out of the millions of other religions that exist out their, Allah subhana wata’la chose me to be a part of the ummah of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

Another blessed thing for me is the fact that Laylatul Qadr- the night of power- was sent down to us. I am very bellsed at the fact that in this one night we are able to get the reward of a thousand months of worship. SubhanAllah

Alhamdullilah I am eighteen years old, so I feel,that ‘uphill-downhill part of life’ everyone talks about, has yet to come, insha’Allah. Whatso-ever, every now and then, I do realize how amazingly blessed am I to be chosen among millions of others, to be special to Allah, to have everything one can ask for. SubhanAllah ♥
For instance, there was one time, I had gone shopping, and had seen this beautiful, really appealing item, and seeing that it was affordable,I thanked Allah and seeked to purchase it. But unfortunately at the counter, the price turned out to be more costly, and I painfully, had to let it go. All throughout the journey back, I felt very distressed and sad and wondered why good things don’t happen once in a while. . . just then I looked outside my window and saw these two men, one without proper shoes, and the other without decent clothing, sitting on the platform looking forlorn. And then it hit me, if in THEIR condtion, they’re SATISFIED, not complaining, then what right do I have to complain? How can I not see around me how already blessed I am to have God-fearing parents, lovely, caring siblings, a beautiful house, and everything that anyone, those two men included, could wish for? It felt like as if Allah had shown me that on purpose, to make me remember Him, be thankful to Him and to be patient. The first thing I did after that was replace that big huge frown from my face and smile at the world. For being blessed. Undeservingly and divinely.

Hands down and eyes shut, I can say that my favorite and mist unexcited blessing was a best friend. My whole life I’ve been deprived of such a thing, whether it be because of moving, or just my uncanny inability in relating well to people. I’ve always been a bit stranger and no one has ever understood my quirky sense of humor. But ALHAMDULILLAH, a year ago, I was blessed with a funny, weird, and compassionate girl named Sara. And we’ve been best friends ever since.

I can’t actually think of one that’s happened yet that is life changing, so perhaps there is going to be one to come for in the future Inshallah! So for now my answer would be that being born as a Muslim is the best blessing ever, as I am privileged to have been guided and may Allah continue to guide us all to the right path. <3
my blessing which has changed my life is to become engaged to a boy who is a believer and not just a name sake muslim. Life would just not be the same without his support to encourage me in doing ibadah. Alhamdulillah. That is indeed a blessing which i can pinpoint out.

A blessing that i one day unexpectedly realized was the love of my family. I didnt know until i came across the hardest point of my life and I realized that i was not alone. That is just one of the blessings compared to the min finale amount the i have been blessed with
I will have to say my husband. He’s such a wonderful and supportive man. It might be a cop out to say it, but for me it’s true. Without him I wouldn’t be where I am today. Whenever I get some idea for what I want to do (from picking up a new hobby to choosing to wear hijab again to going back to school) his response is always the same: “Run with it! I’ll be there to help you.” Most people don’t get us or our relationship, but that’s okay. They aren’t in this relationship. WE are and it works for us even if it doesn’t always look like it from the outside looking in.

I would say my unexpected blessing is my husband. Never ever did I think I would find someone who suits me, completely understands me and loves me unconditionally. But Allah (swt) knows best!! And here I am, married for nearly one year after 2 years of engagement. It’s not much, we still have a long way to go, but we’ve been through quite a lot those years we’ve known each other, and our relationship survived it all. So I am really thankful, Alhamdulillah, for my husband, who might not be the best husband in the whole world, but is definitely the best husband for me. =)

My unexpected blessing for now :D is that eventhough I can’t find a job here since I’ve finished college (people don’t like me for wearing a hijab :( :( May اَللّهُ forgive them for not knowing what’s right), I am still busy busy busy with volunteer work for islam :). الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ .
One of the most unexpected blessings was being lead to Islam. I came to work in Egypt not knowing anything at all about Islam or Muslims being that I am from the totally opposite side of the globe. I’ve never been quite set in my religions, which is why I was Christian, Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, etc. So naturally when I began learning about Islam while living in Egypt, I accepted it with an open mind. The more and more I learned, the more I understood that this is where I should be and this is the religion I should be for the rest of my life. Islam and the Qur’an has answered all the questions I had as a Christian, Catholic, Mormon, etc. I am eternally grateful for this blessing and hope in sha Allah that I am able to make Allah proud of the Muslim I am becoming and to continuously show my appreciation for all the many blessings he has bestowed upon me. :-)

I am really amazed by ur post…. truly, u wrote my heart out, but not the latter part…. like I do not own business or anything, still in the growing stages…. Even I do feel the same as what u have talked about….. want to always discover, accomplish many things and make the most out of life, but never have got courage to do so or opportunity……. I am really happy for u and hopefully, i’ll also accomplish my dreams sooner or later…. ;)
Allah has always been with us… his presence is everywhere…. Certain times one can never reveal what exactly shows his blessings on us, but just can be cherished…. I have had several events as such…. The most recent one being recovery from a grave depression…. (lost my Mother-in-law due to breast cancer and also had a miscarriage) My entire family was attached to my baby, though too early…. Me and my husband were well prepared for those sleepless nights we were to encounter, but then everything crashed, just like a beautiful glass mug slipping out from hands and landing directly onto a concrete floor….. But, Subhanallah…. Allah helped me and my family to get out of the depression with a lot of ease…. Though was in it for quite a time, but Allah, showed light….. Yes… My sis is carrying her second baby… I felt as though, my baby just flew in to her…. am just waiting for the baby to come into the world…..
Sometimes, u never know how ur prayers are answered… I always wished Allah to provide me whatever he feels would be good for me…. May be I recovered from huge health ailment that I was about to encounter…. Nevertheless, I am sure he’ll grant me healthy babies who will surely heal all the painful memories….. Though, not all dream came true, still Thankful to Allah for whatever he has given me….
